Sabbath March 5, 2016 was a high Sabbath for the Eureka Seventh-day Adventist Church family as 11 precious souls were baptized. As each candidate stepped into the baptistry, their personal written testimonies were read out loud to the congregation by various members of the church. These testimonies were gripping in that they related the powerful working of the Holy Spirit in their lives and how they had been led to a deeper knowledge of His Word and to a personal commitment of faith. Although some of these individuals had previous contact with the church, they all witnessed to the impact of the appeals made through the recent evangelistic meetings as being instrumental in bringing them to the point of decision. The love and caring demonstrated by Pastor Danny Velez and other church members towards these individuals was very apparent as tears of joy were shed and hugs were given by all who participated in the evangelistic process. It goes to show that the value of personal work and the proclamation of our message combined, do bring significant sustainable church growth.
An Evangelistic Training event took place at the Helena Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath, February 9, 2016, led by Barry Taylor, Ministerial Director and Marshall McKenzie, Literature Director/Outreach Coordinator. This Sabbath was in preparation for the meetings that Pastor Ben Moore will be preaching, soon to begin in March. Some of the material that was shared related to "Seven Keys to Successful Church Growth by Mark Finley. Members have been engaged in the preparations for the upcoming evangelistic series of meetings as well as planning for follow up and assimilation of new members. There was a sense that God is about to do some great things as the Church boldly presses forward in its witness and outreach.
